Batteries & Electrical
A no-start is usually the battery, the alternator, or the starter, but not always. We test the whole charging and starting system so you replace the right part once.
- Battery, alternator, and starter tested together, not guessed at
- Test results and photos sent to your phone
- Written estimate before any part is ordered

Common questions
Is it my battery or my alternator?
If it starts with a jump and dies again later, the alternator is suspect. If it just will not crank and the lights are dim, it is more often the battery. We test both in a few minutes rather than guess.
How long should a battery last in Minnesota?
Three to five years. Cold weather cuts a battery's power when it is already weak, which is why they tend to fail on the first hard freeze. We test yours at every inspection.
What does a battery or alternator cost?
It depends on the vehicle. We test first so you only pay for what is actually failing, then send a written estimate to approve. Call for a quote.
