Common questions
When should the timing belt be replaced?
Most manufacturers say 60,000 to 100,000 miles. A belt that snaps can destroy the engine, so this is one interval not to stretch. We often replace the water pump at the same time because the labor overlaps.
Is the repair worth it, or should I replace the car?
We will tell you honestly. If a repair costs more than the car is worth to you, we say so. Plenty of cars are worth fixing; we help you figure out whether yours is.
What does engine or transmission work cost?
It varies more than any other repair, so we never quote blind. Diagnosis first, then a written estimate with options sent to your phone. Call for a quote.
